Jason joined the Ullucci Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy, Inc. Staff in 2007.
Jason Price comes to Ullucci Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy from Bridgewater State College. At BSC Jason served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer within the athletics department working primarily with the Bears’ Football, Wrestling, and Women’s Lacrosse teams. Jason also coordinated a reconditioning program for athletes recovering from injury or who needed help improving upon there performance. In the fall of 2006 Jason became an Assistant Coach with the College’s Olympic Style Weightlifting Team. While coaching for Team Bridgewater Weightlifting Jason assisted in having 10 athletes qualify for the Collegiate National Championships.
Jason has had a diverse career in Athletic Training and Sports Performance. He has also served as an Athletic Trainer at Boston College with the Football and Baseball programs, Tufts University with the Football, Men’s Basketball, Sailing, and Tennis programs. Jason Has also served as an Athletic Trainer for the Brewster Whitecaps of the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League and as an Athletic Trainer at the 2006 World Curling Championships in Lowell.
Jason’s Athletic endeavors have been just as varied as his professional. A 1993 Graduate of Franklin High School in Massachusetts he was a three sport athlete for the Panthers participating in Soccer, Basketball and Track and Field. As an undergraduate at Bridgewater State College Jason was a member of the Men’s Basketball program and the Men’s Lacrosse club team. Currently Jason competes as an Olympic Style Weightlifter within the New England Region.
Jason graduated from Bridgewater State College with an Undergraduate degree in Athletic Training in 1998 and again with a Master’s Degree in Strength and Conditioning in 2007. Jason is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association, a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the States of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Council on Strength and Fitness, and a Level 2 Club Coach by USA weightlifting.
Jason brings an extensive knowledge of Athletic Training, Sports Performance and Strength and Conditioning. His short term goals are to establish multiple programs that will follow and expand upon the vision of Ullucci Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy. Programs designed to recondition athletes after injury to bridge the gap from traditional physical therapy to more sports performance therapy. To create Sport Performance programs to educate and instruct athletes of all levels in the proper technique, program design, and theory of Resistance Training and Conditioning. Coaching the Powerlifting and Weightlifting clubs in regional events and progressing to National and International competitions. Long term visions are to see Ullucci Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy as the front runner in sports performance in the Rhode Island and South Eastern Massachusetts area by establishing programs which will help to develop elite level athletes of all ages, Having athletes compete at the national level in Powerlifting and Weightlifting, Hosting regional Powerlifting and Weightlifting competitions, and having a lecture series for Athletes and Coaches on the theory and practice of Strength and Conditioning.
When not working Jason enjoys golfing, weightlifting, traveling.
