Paul and Sarah demonstrate how hyperpronation (flat feet) can cause internal rotation of the legs. This rotation increases the stress on the medial shin, knee, hips and back and can lead to medial tibial stress syndrome (shin Splints), knee and hip pain.
The video also demonstrates how custom orthotics can limit foot pronation and restore running mechanics to normal reducing the stress on Sarah's legs and helping her return to play quickly and safely.
Paul and Laura demonstrate another common gait problem. In this case weakness in Laura's hips is causing her right leg to cross midline when she is running. This puts tremendous stress on her right hip and knee.
By performing a comprehensive evaluation Paul was able to identify the true source of Laura's knee symptoms and through aggressive rehabilitation she will be back running FASTER and SAFER than EVER !!!
