Ullucci Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy, Inc. was founded in July of 1998 by Paul A. Ullucci, Jr. Originally the company contracted with Brown University to provide athletic training and physical therapy services to the student athletes at Brown. Paul quickly began seeing local athletes, coaches and officials in their own homes on a part time basis, providing in home sports medicine evaluation and treatment throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts as well as fabricating custom made orthotics. In 2001 with the help and support of his wife Judy, Paul opened a 1500 square foot office on the Wampanoag Trail. Within 11 months Paul and Judy had hired another physical therapist and expanded to 3,000 square feet. Paul and Judy expanded the clinic again in 2005 to include a spacious hardwood dance, aerobic and yoga studio as well as a state of the art weight room. The weight room would soon be the home of the Ullucci Sports Medicine AAU Powerlifting team and the Ullucci Sports Medicine Olympic Lifting team. During this time certified athletic trainers were hired to begin providing onsite athletic training coverage for local high schools. These include Barrington High School and St. Mary Bay View Academy.
